See, measure, understand: Camera-based, markerless gait analysis for everyday clinical practice
Gait analysis is a central tool in diagnostics, therapy planning, and progress assessment. Modern, camera-based 2D tracking systems now enable objective and at the same time practical analysis of gait patterns – efficient, reproducible, and with high clinical relevance.
This seminar provides a solid theoretical foundation in gait analysis and combines it with extensive hands-on practice. The goal is to reliably observe gait movements, measure them validly, and interpret them meaningfully – from the initial visual impression to software-supported analysis using Noraxon MR4.
In addition to the theoretical basis, the technical possibilities of markerless tracking, along with other technologies such as EMG and pedobarography, will be taught in a practical manner, and their benefits for diagnostics, therapy planning, and progress assessment will be critically evaluated.
Target Audience
This seminar is aimed at:
- Orthopedic surgeons
- Physiotherapists
- Sports scientists
- Doctors and medical professionals
Basic knowledge of gait analysis (gait phases etc.) is an advantage but not mandatory.
Seminar Goals
After the seminar, participants will be able to:
- Inspect and analyze gait movements in a structured way
- Reliably identify relevant gait phases and parameters
- Classify different gait analysis measurement systems
- Perform markerless 2D gait analyses correctly with the MR4 software
- Interpret and document analysis results in a clinically meaningful way
- Gain insights into its transfer to therapy and training
Note
This seminar only covers markerless 2D gait analysis. If you are interested in sensor-based 3D gait analysis (with motion sensors/IMUs), then the gait seminar on March 20, 2026, in Düsseldorf is the right one for you!
